The Virginia Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission has named The Innovation Group as its consultant with concrete information as to how legislation in other states that are allowing online gaming is of any advantage to said state. The Innovation Group is a leading consulting firm with more than three decades of experience in the gaming and leisure industries. They are being given until the 1st of December to present their findings.
Virginia is one of the states where its legislators have historically always apposed the passing of any law allowing online gambling. The current landscape, currently shows how all states north of Virginia are either allowing, expecting, or have some form of online casino and or sports betting taking place.
Either case, this is all good news for online betting enthusiast that reside in Virginia. New Jersey is currently the largest market for regulated online gambling in the US. Over a dozen legal and licensed online casino sites and poker rooms compete for an overall market that is worth more than $225 million a year. California, is still the big fish that all gaming operators are hoping will jump on board.
As for Virginia, it seems it will not only be Casinos. Virginia lawmakers may also consider sports betting and Poker Rooms.
